Personal Narrative Workshop

Clarissa

Clarissa wrote a personal essay about the time she spent growing up in the church. Her essay flowed very smoothly from each experience that she had in the church. Personally, I loved that she mentioned that she had a preached a sermon in her senior year there. I would like her to elaborate on the sermon and describe how she felt in that moment on the church stage.

Andres

Andres wrote a personal essay about his time around the world. He has lived in Venezuela, Panama, Germany and the US. I struggled however to figure out the exact location of the essay being that it took place in several different countries. He wasn't done, he still had writing to do and at this point he had talked about how he used Instagram to make an account for his dog. I feel that if he used his location as Instagram, even in each country, this would be an interesting idea because it would be almost like a 'digital location' that ties together all of the other countries that this story takes place in.
