Genre 1- Side Walk Chalk
Project #3- 3 Genres

For my first genre, I chose to use a chalk design. What is the best way to spark interest in Living Learning Communities is by use of colorful chalk designs!
The placement of this design was also significant in the design. At the moment, prospective incoming students are touring housing throughout campus. The center point of their tour is on Landis Green, which is encompassed by one hall, two complexes, and four LLCs. This will be seen by many. My target demographic is incoming freshmen and their families.
In the design, I made sure to include the different LLCs that are offered to students here at FSU. Each have their own specific symbol. I chose to have school supplies and flowers framing the design for symbolic purposes. The school supplies represent the learning aspect of the LLC while the flowers subtly refer to the blossoming community that is formed when one shares their passion with the Community.
Finally, I concluded with a website, which allows viewers to find out more.
Genre 2-Informational Flyer

My next genre I chose was an informational flyer. This is a flyer that could be handed out in informational packets for perspective students, or handed out by LLC students on Landis Green or available in the housing office.
In this flyer, on the front side is a quick burst of advertisement. On the back, there are some facts about the benefits of being a member of a Living Learning Community, as well as the website (repeated from chalk design) to learn more.
This is definitely targeted to someone who is definitely interested and is looking to apply for the upcoming semester.
* To create this, I used web app Canva, which allows users to design flyers, posters and other marketing materials with thousands of different buildable templates.

Genre 3- Short Video Ad
For my third genre I chose to do a brief (30-40 second advertisement) I would ideally use this ad on the website, to be used on FSU housing/LLC social media and in social media promotional, primarily to grab interest.
The ad shows the different opportunities available for Living Learning Communities at Florida State including the new Entrepreneurship/Innovation LLC starting in Fall 2018!
I used images from each LLC organization/field of study department to give an accurate representation of each LLC.
Once again, I concluded with the housing website information for prospective candidates to learn more about getting involved.
